Taylor Bay beach afternoon

Here we are once again floating around at Taylor Bay........those noodles are quite the invention.

We got a little later start than usual today and it was just perfect. The water was calm and made for a smooth ride as we pulled into Taylor Bay. The baby just loves being in the water here as it’s so warm. We introduced her to the soft sand and she just couldn’t get enough!

The sand was so soft that she just couldn’t get enough of it and as you can see, it almost covered all of her. So much sand all over and then it was time to rinse off and cool off in the late afternoon.

Time to get onboard and head for home before dusk. We just made it in time, pulling into Harbour Club Marina just as it was getting quite dark.

End of the day

Coming home this evening we were treated to a spectacular sunset

Coming home this evening we were treated to a spectacular sunset

The end of a relaxing day on the water and another island sunset. This one had some amazing cloud formations over the southern shoreline from Osprey Rock, Taylor Bay and Sapodilla Bay.

We had a lovely afternoon on the water and as we turned into Harbour Club’s marina , the sun was just disappearing over Cooper Jack hills. The photo is taken just by the Marine Biology School where the canal leads off towards Turtle Lake. A great place to watch the sun go down into the ocean and perhaps see “the green flash” is at Sapodilla Bay.

Flat Calm Ocean

Heavenly ocean this evening.............flat calm and the ocean blended into the sky with no horizon

Heavenly ocean this evening.............flat calm and the ocean blended into the sky with no horizon

We couldn’t resist heading out of Harbour Club’s Marina this evening to watch the sunset on a flat calm ocean.  On one side of the boat the ocean and sky blended into one and on the other, the sunset.

We didn't get a vivid sunset this evening but the calm, smooth ocean was tinged with soft hazy colours.

Soft rosy pinks and oranges of an island sunset were reflected in the calm ocean waters.

Another perfect evening and sunset on Providenciales.

Spring Storm at sea

A spring storm out over the banks creates unbelievable colours as we watched from the Marina at Harbour Club

A spring storm out over the banks creates unbelievable colours as we watched from the Marina at Harbour Club

The days of late have been unsettled with sporadic showers. I glanced out to sea from our villas at Harbour Club and saw a vivid streak of turquoise. I rushed to get my camera and went up to our look out on the hill overlooking our marina. Wow, what a sight…………. storm clouds were gathering out at sea and had turned the waters of Discovery Bay into the most glorious turquoise, green and aqua colours.

The colours of the ocean today were breathtaking as we watched the storm move over the water.

Harbour Club Marina

Look at the amazing colours of the ocean!

Storm clouds gather out at sea and create such a striking turquoise blue. This photo was taken from the hill overlooking the Marina at Harbour Club Villas. A great spot to watch the comings and goings of dive boats that leave our marina daily and head out for West Caicos and French Cay. If you want to do some scuba diving, the Turks and Caicos Islands have some of the best dive sites. Come dive with us in the Turks!
