My computer died and so I'm left with my old computer and some of the photos there. This is one of my favourites of Ania standing by this charming freshly painted picket fence. The ocean was as spectacular as ever on this day and shows a variety of hues...blues from sea to sky and that amazing turquoise.

The other day a white, airy wedding canopy was erected and readied for a sunset beach wedding. A hobie cat was sailing by almost on the horizon as I took this photo.

We used to go to a certain stretch of beach along Grace Bay to find sand dollars a few years ago. They were plentiful in those days but soon disappeared as more and more developments sprang up. But the other day Tina searched and sure enough she found a few. Can you believe the colour of this water???? Nowhere else in the world is it as amazing as this.

We went to Grace Bay today and were treated to seeing some beautiful Sea Stars also known as Cushion Stars very close to shore.
I took Tina and Sheldon down onto Grace Bay close to the Club Med area. The water was beautiful but unfortunately, the sand under the water was really crusty. It used to be one of my favourite beach spots but I think the dredging at Leeward has been a detriment to this stretch of Grace Bay. The same can be said of Leeward Beach which is also rocky and full of bits of shell and coral instead of soft sand under the waters. We still enjoyed it because we saw at least a dozen large Cushion Starfish close to the shore.
Three large Cushion Sea Stars and each one was a slightly different colour combination.

A semi circular stretch of a coral ledge frames a lovely little swimming hole. The tide was out so you could see all the coral outcroppings as we wandered along the beach towards the North West Point.

We motored out from our Marina channel to a small sliver of white powdery sand beach for a few hours Sunday afternoon
It was pretty windy and the ocean was rough last Sunday but we thought it would be fine. It was a bumpy ride over the white caps so much so that I was literally gripping onto the hand rail. Luckily we were protected from the wind and things calmed down as we approached and moored at a little beach.
As I explored the island, the others stayed on the boat and slowly made ready to enjoy the water.
I was thrilled to see several Rock Iguanas and I could hear the rustling of many others as they made their escapes before I could spot them.
The Turks and Caicos Rock Iguana was re-introduced to several of the many little Cays. It is an endangered species of lizard and is endemic to the Turks and Caicos Islands.
The waves were pounding on the far side of the island and I was fascinated by the large rock formation with a hole in it.
We enjoyed the sun, sand and beach and of course we had it all to ourselves. Even the iguanas didn't mind sharing this little spot of paradise.
Ominous thunderclouds roll in at Bonefish Point
What an amazing sight as our friends swam back out to the boat before the storm ……… the ocean turned to a deep turquoise as the ominous thunderclouds rolled in. The sandbar and beach at Bonefish Point created a sparkling sliver of brilliant white breaking up the intensity of the brooding sky and sea. We pulled up the anchor and headed back to Harbour Club Marina.

One of my favourite photos taken out at Leeward beach as the waves were splashing up over the rocks. The sky was a beautiful blue and of course the colour of the ocean was that intense turquoise found here in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
