Watching the dark clouds roll in over the south west tip of Provo on Sunday afternoon

A beautiful Sunday afternoon floating around in Taylor Bay. We watched the very dark clouds gathering and creating a spectacular sky over towards the south west point of the island but nothing to worry about as they appeared to be moving off towards West Caicos.

The water was lovely and warm and look at that backdrop.......spectacular!

Turtle Rock peeking out right off the boat engines. There was a clear gap right over Turtle Rock and you could see the bands of heavy rain.

This little potcake was loving playing with a bottle cap.....she's waiting to be adopted????

They are in need of forever homes for these adorable, loyal and loving potcakes. Here’s what you can do to help: Make a donation as they rely on donations to foster the puppies.  Be a courier and take a pup to their new home or adopt a pup.  Remember, every little bit helps……dog food, collars, shampoo, treats, toys and flight bags to transport puppies etc. are always in need!!

A Favourite Beach

Peeking through the ironshore rocks can make for some interesting photo opportunities. The rocks are pretty sharp so watch yourselves. This one was taken out at a small , tucked away beach that most people never get to see. Heavenly!!

I’m always talking about my favourite beach but if the truth be know…..they are all my favourites as each one comes with specialties. The softest sand, the most brilliant shades of water colour, the most amazing clear water, the most deserted, the best for shells, snorkeling or simply swimming and I could go on and on.

Come join us and discover all our many spectacular beaches.

Taylor Bay Starfish

First time sighting of sea stars in the shallow waters of Taylor Bay

First time sighting of sea stars in the shallow waters of Taylor Bay

Malaika was sooooo excited when she first saw some small starfish as she played in the shallows at Taylor Bay this passed weekend. She wasn’t too sure about holding them.

Do you want to hold it as I'm kinda not sure about all this?

We tried to get her to "gently" lay them back in the water but she liked it better when she plopped them into the water

The Sandbar at Bonefish Point

The sandbar at Bonefish Point......an idyllic afternoon of lazing in six inches of water.

Light winds and pretty smooth seas so off we headed to Bonefish Point. We hadn’t been out there for ages and it was spectacular as always.  The shore line has changed somewhat but as usual, we nosed right onto the sandbar and stepped off the boat into about two feet of water. Right away we sighted some beautiful pin cushion star fish, a large orange and a yellow one and then a smaller sandy coloured one. They were just laying in the shallows and our little munchkin was fascinated by them.

Malaika was enthralled with the starfish as we taught her to keep them under the water.

As you can see, the sandbar is really shallow and extends quite a ways out to where the boat is anchored in two feet of water.

We strolled along the deserted beach looking for shells and bits of coral.

Malaika stops to call out to her Dad who's on the boat.

We thoroughly enjoyed the day  and walking along this stunning stretch of shoreline. A big bonus was seeing all the starfish and getting a close up look at them in the shallows.

Beach babe heading towards the water.........he was soooooo cute!

Well, the countdown is on and I’m heading off island to meet and greet our new grandbaby. I’ve told Tina, she simply has to wait until I get there before giving birth. Hopefully, I’ll be there before the baby comes out to meet everyone.

Snorkeling

The Bight Reef otherwise known as the White House Reef is one of our great snorkeling spots. Really close to the shore and being protected by a circle of buoys. Lots of great things to see as you follow the circle of buoys on the outside. Please don't go inside the circle as at low tide you are almost scraping the coral and therefore damaging it.
