More Hermit Crabs? But this one today was soooooo neat!
You may think that I’ve gone crazy for crabs but I couldn’t resist taking photos of this hermit crab. Barry found this little guy on his way to the pool. I got him to pose for the camera because as hermit crabs go…….this one was really colourful with his great shell.

Hi Marta! I first came across your blog in 2010 (after our second trip to Provo), when I did a simple google search about the island’s Hermit Crabs. – We’re now coming for our 8th visit this Sunday, and I was wondering if you might be able to help me out. You know how crab shells are a terrific challenge for Hermits to find? Well, I’ve got a huge bag full of pristine, gently used (!) hermie shells that I’d like to reintroduce into the wild, where they are needed. — All I need is directions on where to go. (Like, where did you take those pictures? Would I be able to find this spot myself?) Any guidance you may have would be much appreciated! – Fiona (I’m @ Sibonne until Sat, 4/30)
