Taylor Bay beach afternoon

Here we are once again floating around at Taylor Bay........those noodles are quite the invention.

We got a little later start than usual today and it was just perfect. The water was calm and made for a smooth ride as we pulled into Taylor Bay. The baby just loves being in the water here as it’s so warm. We introduced her to the soft sand and she just couldn’t get enough!

The sand was so soft that she just couldn’t get enough of it and as you can see, it almost covered all of her. So much sand all over and then it was time to rinse off and cool off in the late afternoon.

Yes, this was the last beer as the sun started getting lower in the sky.

Time to get onboard and head for home before dusk. We just made it in time, pulling into Harbour Club Marina just as it was getting quite dark.

Another Taylor Bay Sunday

Low tide, the exposed sandbar and our boat is anchored out in only two feet of water.

I guess it’s becoming our favourite place to go on Sundays………….tranquil Taylor Bay with its powdery soft white sand and all that shallow water ideal for babies and little kids. Today we seemed to be miles from shore but it was low tide and we were anchored in two feet of water.

It was absolutely wonderful at Taylor Bay today. The anticipated tropical storm didn’t make it as far as the Turks and Caicos Islands although we did get some two inches of rain. Oh how we love the rain!!! We had madly spent two days trying to get everything fertilized in time for the rains. So a day out boating and lazing in the water was a welcomed event.

Late afternoon and the tide started to come in creating ripples and waves over the sand bars.

Take time out to spend a few hours in Taylor Bay on your next Provo trip. We’ll likely be there!

End of the day

Coming home this evening we were treated to a spectacular sunset

Coming home this evening we were treated to a spectacular sunset

The end of a relaxing day on the water and another island sunset. This one had some amazing cloud formations over the southern shoreline from Osprey Rock, Taylor Bay and Sapodilla Bay.

We had a lovely afternoon on the water and as we turned into Harbour Club’s marina , the sun was just disappearing over Cooper Jack hills. The photo is taken just by the Marine Biology School where the canal leads off towards Turtle Lake. A great place to watch the sun go down into the ocean and perhaps see “the green flash” is at Sapodilla Bay.

Lazy afternoon at Taylor Bay

Yesterday was so spectacular I dropped everything and drove up the hill to a friend's house to get this photo.

Harbour Club Villas (six red roofs) sit overlooking Flamingo Lake. It was a perfect day to get some new photos of our villas from a vantage point up at a friend’s house on Ocean Drive. It was one of those flat calm days and definitely a must to take off on the boat for the afternoon.

It was after 3 pm when we got onboard and headed out to Taylor Bay. I’ve mentioned before that this is an idyllic spot especially when you have kids and we had friends with a baby who came out with us. The water was warm as we moored in two feet of water quite a ways from the shore. The baby absolutely loved it.
Baby's hungry and so it's time to get on board and nurse her.

Harbour Club Villas are a great place to stay when on Provo and Taylor Bay is one of those soft powdery sand beaches where kids will have the time of their lives playing in the sand and shallow water. Come and see us soon.

Barry’s Birthday

We spent a great afternoon on and in the water to celebrate Barry's birthday today along with visiting friends from Banff.

The water today was like a bathtub and we spent hours out at Osprey Rock and stopped at Taylor Bay on the way back.

Sandbar at Taylor Bay......What an incredible sight!

Sandbar at Taylor Bay......What an incredible sight!

We headed again for Taylor Bay today and what a great choice of beach that was. Low tide and the water rippled and shimmered around a small, exposed sandbar. You can see Turtle Rock in the background on the horizon. It just doesn’t get any better than this!  If you have little kids (and even if you don’t) this beach is a must. We love Taylor Bay and perhaps we’ll see you here.

Great afternoon at Taylor Bay today…………the wind was blowing on the North shore so we tucked ourselves away in this idyllic spot. It was hot and the water was very calm. We met these two gentlemen from Quebec………Canadiens eh????? I guess Mom was at home while Dad and friend took the twins for a walk to the beach. Soooooo cute. If you have kids and are planning a trip to the Turks and Caicos, this is where you should bring them as you can walk out for a long ways in inches of water.

See you on the beach soon!

Taylor Bay

The shallow waters of Taylor Bay
The shallow waters of Taylor Bay

Taylor Bay is one of the most idyllic spots on the south side of Providenciales………..shallow water for a long ways out and hardly a soul on the beach. It’s a great spot for families with young kids because the water is generally calm and only inches deep. You can wade out for a long, long ways before it gets deeper.  We make sure to tell all our guests to pack up a picnic lunch, head to Taylor Bay and spend the day just lazing in the water. Bonefishing here can be good too. See you there????
